We have arrived at that time of year when we need to start thinking about 2011. I want to invite everyone to the OHAHA Annual Meeting Sunday January 23, 2011 in the Champion Center at Springfield Ohio fair grounds. Our meeting will start at 11:00 A.M. We have a full agenda and will be holding elections for new directors. Those up for reelection are Linda Ferris, Lisa Stanley, Mike Knapic, Michele Reser and Lisa Corbin. OHAHA is very pleased to announce that in 2011 our Spring and Fall shows will be moving to the Champion Center in Springfield Ohio. OHAHA is very excited to have secured this facility which is centrally located right off of Interstate 70 and offers our exhibitors the ability to stall, work and show their horses under the same roof. The Spring show will be April 22nd thru 24th judges are Terry Johnson (2011 US National judge) and Christine Jonston. Fall Show will be September 3rd and 4th the judge will be Deborah Johnson (2011 US National judge) with Sport horse judge to be announced at a later date. We look forward to seeing all of you in Springfield Ohio for what we hope is an outstanding Spring and Fall Show.
OHAHA is known throughout the Arabian horse community for the production of quality horse shows. Our shows include not only Half-Arabian and Arabian classes but we also offer National Show Horse, Dressage and Sport Horse in hand and under saddle classes.
OHAHA is committed to the education and promotion of our breed we have a long history of working well with other clubs and breed associations in promoting the Half Arabian Horse.
OHAHA has one of the oldest high point programs in existence. Our high point program is FREE to all youth members of OHAHA and is also offered at a low cost to all adult members. OHAHA takes great pride in our very successful high point program that offers outstanding awards and prizes for the Youth and Adult participants. Awards are presented at our annual high point banquet where everyone enjoys a fun social event where the price is reasonable and the food and fun is second to none. The forms for signing up for our high point program are enclosed.
OHAHA is privileged to have and utilize one of the most dedicated volunteer groups in Region 14 where new members are always welcome to participate. Many of our members serve on various committees associated with the operation of AHA. OHAHA is very proud of their volunteers who have won service awards on the local, regional and national level for their dedication to our club and their horses while promoting the breed.
When deciding what club to join, ask yourself this question. DO YOU WANT TO HAVE FUN? If the answer is YES then come join OHAHA where FUN is number #1.
